YTCaptions is a free online tool that retrieves publicly available captions and metadata from YouTube videos and presents them as downloadable text. The Service does not host, store, or reproduce YouTube video content.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights
• Automate requests in a way that places excessive load on the Service (scraping, bots)
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the Service's security features

Captions and metadata retrieved through this Service originate from YouTube and are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and the intellectual property rights of the respective content creators. YTCaptions claims no ownership over retrieved content.

The YTCaptions name, logo, and site design are our property. You may not use them without our written permission.

4. YouTube Terms of Service

This Service accesses YouTube data. By using YTCaptions you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. YTCaptions is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
• Captions retrieved will be accurate or complete (accuracy depends on YouTube's auto-generation)
• The Service will be available for any particular video (availability depends on YouTube's API)

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YTCaptions and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

The Service displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we do not endorse or control their content.
